Forget to pay your TV licence for a day and the SWAT team are abseiling through the bedroom window and hammering the door down. A bit of healthy “Non-compliance” is long overdue. Civil society is in freefall not because it is under attack: but simply because it is it is being forgotten by the public. The limits of where “Government” ends and the individual’s “inalienable rights” begin.
So Governments illegally rush through legislation to falsely imprison us in our own homes- and call it “Health Security Lockdowns”. Surveillance is for “own good” even when it isn’t. Debt collector thugs forcibly enter the home of innocent taxpayer who might go into the red, or dies, does not want or need a Pre-Payment Meter.
Law-abiding Post Office postmasters made scapegoats for mis-management failures. Management that was supposed to do due-diligence, because politicians failed in their due-diligence of the execrable Fujitsu Corporation.
Government has out-sourced- itself. Wasted so much more than tax- trust. Trust takes decades to build: but is lost now in an e-mail. It has outsourced Morality. The road to societal hell is paved with jack-asses like CEO Paula Vennells and “Lady Mone-y” of the PPE Covid scandal. The buck-passing Kier Starmers and the Little Charmers like Chancellor Hunt. With enemas like that, who needs Government?

Government has the night-vison goggles, the intimidation, media access and the battering rams. For now. But intimidate, imprison, torture the public financially- or behind closed doors in prison, and the one thing they crave but will never get is willing compliance. And without consensus, policing by consent, there is no society to police. Just an over-weight guy in a government-supplied mask and graphene shield with POLICE on his Hi-Viz. Unless he’s been paid $25 an hour and bused-in by one of George Soros’ agencies to impersonate or foment a convenient “Riot”.
The illegal imprisonment of voters in their own homes- rebranded and justified as Lockdowns, was The End. We’ve been had. Conned. Then one bright morning we’ll awake to find who has all the guns- The Government- and they’re pointing at you in your pyjamas. Who are you gonna call ? Government-Busters ?…
The light is flashing “RED” on the dashboard, but still the Davos Elites and politicians keep repeating the same mistakes- and all by private jet. That is the definition as they say, of insanity. And returning your ill-gotten CBE or Knighthood, isn’t going to solve that conundrum. As The EU is an enigma- or rather enema- wrapped inside a tragedy that is our bankrupt social system and organisations.
The “Deep State” is one thing. But the masked “Big Fat State”, pointing an infra-red dot in your face at 6AM, is another.

So the UK Government Health Agency has morphed sheepishly, without debate or scrutiny, into the more sinister “Health Security Agency”. How many have died with “Covid Vaccines”, or “Of” Covid Vaccines, this time?
As my great-great grandfather, a Textile Union President the US in the 1890’s knew, the heavy-hand of Government soon turns into the clenched-fist of the people.
No number of surveillance “safety” CCTV cameras- “Safety” for whom, from what BTW?- can scan every dark corner and alleyway for Freedom. The State can never legislate for people’s cooperation, only their subservience.
Sadly I have come to the inevitable. The deathly-thud of a conclusion: that Western Europe will become a jumbled Balkans of failed states. Everything they do, only fast-forwards the stupidity. Hurtling towards an EU “Somalia”, in all but name. And Britain, “a Somalia-with chip shops”, as Mark Steyn put it perfectly.
If there were any “honour” in the British Honours system they’d make Mark Steyn a Duke- at least.

Just so they can come out five years later, even too thick to get into the British Army. Like Prince Harry, not without “massaging” his A Level score. Uncle Prince Edward was similarly shoe-horned into Cambridge without the necessary A’s. So Prince Charles, who was too busy being Prince Charles to study much.
The dreamy West is Best is suffering from too much of each and all of the above. Our eyeballs still think it’s circa 10,000 BC. So the fatal short-sightedness, or cataracts we develop post-seventy are about 35 years into what would have been, for the average ancient Egyptian or cave-dweller, their statistically lucky old age. Or more likely, 35 years into a well-earned after-life. If you were blind and family-less, you scrabbled in the dust for grains of wheat. Or died of malnutrition, or were dinner for some passing, salivating wolf-pack.
We’ve forgotten to forget our past. Biology, not Obamacare imposes reality- and cataracts upon us.
So we The Western, infantilised Eloi live in eternal life now. And eternal health and eternal education. And if they “worked” for the State, eternal retirement. Eternal childhood in fact.
For what passes for “Education” today is really De-education. It is Farce as Tragedy. But Modern, “Post-education” is like the reputed German sense of humour- it’s no laughing matter. Learning was “gain-of function”, now it’s generational Re-programming. “History”, reduced to mere rewriting the past.
You see the civilisational flicker, the dying embers of the fire. The undeserved Truth in front of your blurry eyes. And still you do not awake.

Today we have separated “Invention”, creativity from Manufacturing. We have an Idea in a Science “Innovation Park” outside Cambridge: but it’s glued together in a factory outside Shenzhen. By a Vietnamese slave paid by the hour, by a company based in Seattle. It’s why so much “stuff”, however flash, doesn’t work. Why so many workers, don’t work.
No. Accountants. Not very good accountants at that. Technocrats. Minor Public schoolboys, who play golf together once a week, and attend church once at month in the village where their corporate bonus purchased the Old Rectory.

Something American cousins might understand: but the English never will. You don’t need “Government”. Ironically, if the British did have a functional Government they wouldn’t need their spaghetti of agencies and regulators and Quangos- Quasi Autonomous NGO’s. Bureaucracy for bureaucracy sake in any country is a vital-sign failure of society in cardiac arrest.
Take The Chinese-style politburos of the UK’s toothless “Watchdogs”. They put the Dis- into function. They are a plimsoll-line for a slowly sinking civic society. State Censor OFCOM. Protector of Energy companies greed and corporate incompetence- OFGEM. And worse of worst all, if that is possible, Ofsted.
They killed headteacher Ruth Perry, whom the Woke bullycrats “downgraded”, mocked and bullied into suicide. As surely as if they had unscrewed the safety lid on a bottle of pills, or strung a rope over an attic beam. And the reward for failure- as with the Post Office- a Damehood or Knighthood for the best idiot at the top. If there were any justice in this life, which as you may have noticed by now there isn’t, the taxpayers ought to be the ones with the rope and the Inspectors running for their lives down the street…
The only thing the British government haven’t regulated is an “OF-GOV”, to sack those less-than-useless half-wits, posing as “Leaders” and “statesmen”. Just because you talk “Posh” doesn’t mean you know what you are doing. But as with the Peters’ Management rule: they rise to meet their level of incompetence. And too often in England because they tick the right shade of a Diversity Quota.
There is a an old joke in the Royal Navy. About how to remember how to unfurl and raise (strike to be correct), a British “Union Jack” flag, so it’s not flapping in the wind upside down.. Always put the stripe with the “thickest white at the top”.
As for the flags, as for the society. It’s the only rule you can now rely upon.

If The British Honours system had any Honour

Sorry but we do not use "Titles", however deserved, in a now discredited and corrupted honours system.
Like a growing many, we wish to pass on our revulsion at the CBE offered to the Head of the PO, Paula Vennells and youngest "Peer" Charlotte Owen.
These are the most recent in the egregious misuse of Honours.
We have also noticed how honours are disproportionately "doled out" to those with the politically correct "skin pigmentation"- ie BAME, LGBT, Black, Asian etc. Rather than genuine ability and achievement. Even when equalled by "male, white, Caucasian" candidates who are now discriminated against. Ability which is in any case, always rather subjective.
Over years, this has turned us from ambivalent supporters of the monarchy, titles and honours- to actively campaigning against (with a few thousand likeminded on X).
The behaviour of the execrable "Baroness Mone" is also one more very good reason for abolishing the House of Lords.
Speaking if I may, as the five-times grandson of an Earl- albeit Irish- you will understand how severe the degradation and cronyism of British politics of all parties, has had to be.
I realise we will be fobbed-off with the usual Woke Civil Service reply and justifications. But remember, this is much more widely corrosive for wider British society.

The reason nobody notices, that most novels and productions today, are so testicle-shrinkingly boring and formulaic, is that they should be short-stories.

Third, how many books, shows and programmes are commissioned because someone’s brother was “at Oxford” with Commissioning Editor at The BBC.
